In order to answer this question, we must first explore what it means to be an evangelist. An evangelist, in the most basic sense, is someone who spreads good news. They proclaim the gospel to the unknowing masses. They spread awareness of the joy and miracles that are happening, delivering messages that touch the masses. As a collective giving evangelist, I work as a thought partner, bringing the good news of collective giving to both communities and non-profits. I educate them on how to leverage the power of the collective to pour into causes that they are passionate about. I help nonprofits push out their programming to the community, making their constituents aware of their offerings. As a Collective Giving Evangelist, I work with individuals who come together to strategically and intentionally pour their resources into causes they care about, over time using their power to support and sustain organizations that uplift their communities.

It’s always eye-opening to explain to aspiring philanthropists how their contributions can create real change in their communities. Over time as they consistently support their favorite charities, they see these organizations grow and flourish. They have built their own giving tribe, and through that tribe, funded organizations that provide scholarships to girls and women, aid to the sick, and educational resources to underserved communities. Their mantra—”We go further together,” is actually played out in front of them through their intentional efforts and the result is transformative. I’m proud to be an integral part of this process
